I hope you enjoyed Episode 1 of the Drama of the Christmas Story series. More than enjoying it, I hope that you came to a new understanding of how God intricately orchestrated and carried out his plan to incarnate himself into the human race in order to redeem us. In this re-telling of the Greatest Story Ever Told, I have tried to be faithful to the facts as the New Testament records them for us, and yet tell the story in a fresh and exciting way. Since many people are busy during the Christmas season, I have broken my telling of the story into four segments. Episode 1 gives the backstory behind the birth of Jesus. This second episode, I focus on Mary’s BIG CHOICE. Would she accept God’s difficult and, in some way tragic, assignment for her, or choose an easier path for her life. I don’t think we realize the gravity of the choice that Mary faced, nor the enormous blessing we experience as a result of her choice.
